What critics said
Critics broadly condemned the film as a repetitive, poorly acted, melodramatic comedy-horror sequel that fails to recreate the impact of its predecessors.
What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The plot centers on Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja, whose centuries-old conflict is reawakened through the family’s reunion and ritual prayers.
The film combines supernatural disturbance with comic timing, family melodrama, and an overtly performative classical-dance persona.
The reunited family turns to its deity for solutions, unknowingly reviving the Chandramukhi–Vettaiyan feud.
Critics repeatedly identified the film’s close resemblance to the earlier Chandramukhi and its reliance on nostalgic musical and horror cues.
