What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Morgan Adams is the pirate captain, primary adventurer, and central action hero.
The three portions of the treasure map motivate Morgan, Dawg, and the competing forces throughout the quest.
The film features elaborate ships, exotic islands, sword fights, cannon fire, and a climactic sea battle.
Morgan must prove her leadership to a skeptical pirate crew while occupying the traditionally male role of pirate captain.
