What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Virgil Oldman's auction practice, Claire's inherited collection, and Billy Whistler's secret master-painting collection drive the intrigue.
Virgil lives behind strict routines and gloves, while Claire's refusal to appear in person turns emotional contact into a problem of trust.
Auction rooms, villas, private collections, and Virgil's meticulously ordered spaces frame the character's control and vulnerability.
Robert helps Virgil restore odd mechanical parts discovered among Claire's belongings, making the object a concrete thread through the mystery.
