What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
Cornelia uses emotional influence, money, and social connections to manage Barbu's legal crisis and resist his independence.
Cornelia's campaign to keep her son from prison moves through police, legal, and elite social networks.
The direction follows emotional flows and twisted desires through intimate, socially grounded interactions rather than melodramatic spectacle.
Cornelia's effort to save Barbu is continually tested by the human cost of the car accident and the family's duty toward the bereaved.
