In a near-future drowning in constant surveillance, where every thought and image is permanently recorded and instantly accessible, detective Sal Frieland navigates a chillingly sterile world where crime is statistically nonexistent – yet unsettlingly persistent. His investigation into a string of anomalous murders is disrupted by the emergence of “The Girl,” a woman who exists entirely outside the system, a ghost in the machine with no digital footprint. This encounter plunges Frieland into a paranoid descent, forcing him to question the very fabric of reality and the ethical cost of absolute transparency, as he races to understand how she defies the all-seeing network before her existence unravels his own. The film delivers a uniquely unsettling atmosphere, less focused on action and more on the creeping dread of absolute loss of self and the fragility of perceived truth within a technologically absolute society.
