A claustrophobic psychological horror unfolds entirely within the confines of a small-town Ontario radio station as a mysterious linguistic virus transforms speech into a horrifying contagion. Disc jockey Grant Mazzy, initially reporting on escalating chaos, slowly realizes the infection isn't spread through bites, but through *hearing* the corrupted language itself. This forces him into a tense battle not against traditional zombies, but against the very act of communication, using the airwaves both to understand the spreading phenomenon and attempt to inoculate listeners against its insidious influence. The film masterfully evokes a rising sense of paranoia and isolation, amplified by the limitations of its single, enclosed location, creating a uniquely unsettling apocalypse driven by the power – and danger – of words.
