Baskin
A descent into visceral, surreal horror, *Baskin* isn’t merely a depiction of evil, but an immersive experience of psychological fragmentation. Five weary police officers responding to a distress call find themselves trapped within a labyrinthine, decaying structure presiding over a nightmarish Black Mass – a ritualistic ceremony blurring the lines between reality and demonic hallucination. The film eschews jump scares for a slow burn of dread, punctuated by grotesque body horror and a growing sense of inescapable doom. It’s a bleak, almost hallucinatory exploration of guilt, trauma, and the fragility of the human psyche as the officers confront not just external monsters, but the monstrous potential within themselves, leaving audiences grappling with the boundaries of perception and the weight of unspoken sins.
