What begins as a straightforward transaction devolves into a battle of wills, fueled by the veteran’s utter disdain for the dealer’s pretension and a series of increasingly absurd obstacles involving a crumbling castle, local eccentricities, and the painstaking process of art restoration applied to human skin.
