Four Rooms
A New Year’s Eve at a bizarre Los Angeles hotel unfolds through the eyes of Ted, a hapless bellhop navigating a series of increasingly surreal and darkly comedic encounters in four distinct rooms. Each vignette, directed by a different filmmaker, presents a rapidly escalating situation – from a witch coven’s ritualistic gathering to a high-stakes bet involving a lost sperm count – creating a playfully chaotic and unsettling atmosphere. The film isn’t simply a comedy; it’s a provocative, fragmented exploration of desire, transgression, and the absurdities of human connection, showcasing a gleeful disregard for conventional narrative structure. It’s an anthology where the connective tissue is less about plot and more about a creeping sense of unease and the inevitability of midnight.
