What sets it apart
May contain story progression spoilers
The film addresses outsiders and culture wars through mischievous, almost politically incorrect comedy.
The film is inspired by the director's upbringing in Hauge i Dalane and centers childhood experience in that setting.
Contemporary debates about outsiders and cultural conflict are approached through a childhood story intended for both children and adults.
Its stated artistic risk and politically incorrect humor distinguish it from more conventional children's entertainment.
