My 2 Cents

When his friend Wild Boar lands himself in hot water with organized crime, Zero and the gang unite to save him while barely coping with their own lives.

My 2 Cents (2026) is an Italian animated comedy-crime miniseries created by Zerocalcare and released on Netflix. Written and voiced by its creator, the show follows Zero, a comic-minded everyday man, alongside his gang of friends, with Valerio Mastandrea voicing the sardonic Armadillo. The engine is simple and funny: when their friend Wild Boar gets tangled with organized crime, Zero and the group scramble to save him while barely coping with their own unstable lives, jobs, and relationships. The eight long episodes are built from loose, conversational sequences that drift between street-level mob peril and small private worries, so the emotional throughline stays personal rather than procedural. Tone is wry, deadpan, and affectionate, with flashes of anxiety and melancholy beneath the jokes. Its look borrows from autobiographical comics, with hand-drawn textures and expressive character design. Fans of BoJack Horseman, Persepolis, and Gomorrah will find resonance in its blend of animated humor, personal reflection, and criminal menace. Viewers who enjoy adult animation that balances laughter with quiet unease will find it a satisfying single-season watch.

Audiences acclaim this animated Italian miniseries as a warm, sharply observed blend of comedy and melancholy about friendship and everyday struggle.
