Mahkum

Firat is a successful prosecutor convicted of murdering his wife and child. He wakes up one day with amnesia and doesn't know why he's in prison. He is seeking to regain his memory and clear his name. He has to escape from prison to reveal the truth.

Mahkum (2021-2022) is a Turkish crime drama series created by Uğraş Güneş and broadcast on FOX. Prosecutor Fırat Bulut (Onur Tuna) wakes inside prison walls with no memory of how he got there, convicted of murdering his wife and child. The engine of the story is his struggle to recover his lost past, clear his name, and break out of a prison where every inmate and guard may have a stake in his silence. Each stretch of the series is built from tense cell-block politics, shifting alliances, and gradually returning memories that reframe what he thought he knew. Supporting characters include Barış Yesari (İsmail Hacıoğlu), Cemre Uysal/Yesari (Seray Kaya), and Hacı Alagöz (Hakan Karsak), whose loyalties remain uncertain. Told across two seasons and thirty-one episodes, it is one continuing serialized story rather than a case-of-the-week format. The mood is bleak and paranoid, with melodramatic family wounds and a steady dread that the truth is worse than the verdict. Fans of Prison Break and The Fugitive will find resonance in its escape-driven pacing and wrongful-conviction premise, and viewers of Kurtlar Vadisi will recognize its Turkish prestige crime energy.

• Prison Breakprison setting, wrongly convicted protagonist, serialized escape and conspiracy plot
• The Fugitiveserialized amnesia and identity mystery with a protagonist hunting the truth behind a false conviction
• Kurtlar VadisiTurkish-language prestige crime thriller with a wrongfully accused central figure and high melodrama
