Go! Go! Loser Ranger!

With their old hideout and bosses wiped out, the surviving Dusters make a secret agreement with the Ranger Force to engage in the weekly Sunday Showdown - one where they will always be defeated. Tired of this charade, Fighter D finally steps up to make a change once and for all!

Go! Go! Loser Ranger! (2024-2025) is a Japanese animated superhero parody series produced for MBS and TBS and adapted from a manga. The story follows the surviving Dusters, a crew of defeated villains, who strike a secret deal with the Ranger Force to stage a weekly Sunday Showdown in which they always lose. Fighter D, tired of the charade, takes the lead in trying to change the arrangement once and for all. Each episode is a self-contained showdown built from scripted fights, bureaucratic hero routines and sharp, irreverent jokes about the tokusatsu genre. The single season of 24 episodes stays close to the urban fantasy setting of a modern Japanese city and keeps a deadpan, cynical register that turns dark at moments. The tone mixes absurdist humor with a serious undercurrent about labour and rebellion. Fans of Tiger & Bunny, The Boys and Mystery Men will find resonance in its deconstruction of superhero conventions and its mix of comedy and action.

Audiences rate the series as mixed, appreciating its satirical take on sentai heroes while finding the premise's repetition wearing over time.

• Tiger & Bunnyparody of tokusatsu team heroes, workplace style comedy of failing superheroes
• The Boysdeconstruction of superhero team tropes with dark comedy and absurd violence
• Mystery Mensatirical take on superhero conventions with a mismatched hero ensemble
