Conan O'Brien Must Go

Conan O'Brien visits new friends he met through his podcast, "Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan," where he dives deep with listeners from across the country and the world.

Conan O'Brien Must Go (2024-2026) is an American documentary comedy series created by Conan O'Brien for HBO and Max. Built as a travel show spun out of his podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan, it follows Conan O'Brien as he visits listeners he met through the show, dropping into their lives across the country and beyond. Longtime sidekick Jordan Schlansky and podcast co-host Matt Gourley appear alongside guests including Javier Bardem and Taika Waititi, with the host's own awkward, self-deprecating persona driving each stop. The engine is simple: a host with no clear plan shows up at a stranger's door and lets the encounter unfold, with the comedy coming from his earnest blundering and the warmth of the people he meets. Across three seasons and eleven episodes of roughly forty-five minutes each, the format stays consistent, a loose itinerary of visits with a celebratory and comforting register. Fans of Parts Unknown, Somebody Feed Phil and Comedy Bang! Bang! will find the same blend of travel, host charm and conversational goofiness. The tone is cheerful and joyful, with a self-aware sense that the show was made because nobody asked for it.

Reception is unknown, but audience ratings decline across seasons while the host's warmth and comedy remain the draw.
