Another Love

The brutal murder of Hamdi Atilbay in the forest crosses the paths of young prosecutor Leyla, who wants to leave her messy past behind and now establish her new order, and Kenan, an ambitious journalist who has a regular and famous life. However, this murder heralds the destruction of not only their love, but also the truth they know about their lives.

Another Love (2023-2024) is a Turkish crime romance series created by Neslihan Yeşilyurt and broadcast on FOX. Prosecutor Leyla Gediz (Hande Erçel) wants to leave a messy past behind and build a new order for herself, while Kenan Öztürk (Burak Deniz), an ambitious journalist with a famous and comfortable life, becomes entangled with her after the brutal killing of Hamdi Atilbay in a forest. The engine of the story is the investigation itself, which pulls their private lives into the open and forces each to question what they believe about the people closest to them. Supporting principals include Cem Davran as Turan Öztürk, Gülçin Hatıhan as Sahinde Gediz and Uğur Uzunel as Tahir Gediz, whose family ties and loyalties add pressure to every revelation. Told across a single season of sixteen long episodes, the series moves as one continuing story rather than a case of the week, with each hour peeling back another layer of the crime and the relationships around it. Its register is melancholic and tense, with romantic longing running beneath a steady current of dread and moral unease. Set in contemporary Istanbul among the professional and social elite, it is a Turkish national-television drama in the tradition of romantic thrillers, and fans of Kara Sevda and Big Little Lies will find similar resonance in its mix of desire, class and concealed violence. The series was canceled, leaving its central questions open.
