Escort Boys

In Camargue, four guys in dire straits turn to escorting to save their childhood beekeeping estate. Coached by the group's little sister who manages this unique 'business' in the region, they will have to service women and, through their desires... learn to be men of today.

Escort Boys (2023-2025) is a French comedy-drama series created by Ruben Alves for Prime Video. Four men in dire financial straits in the Camargue region of southern France, including Ben (Guillaume Labbé), Ludo (Thibaut Évrard), Zack (Corentin Fila) and Mathias (Simon Ehrlacher), turn to escorting to save the childhood beekeeping estate they grew up on. Their engine is the scramble for money, with each episode built around a new client and an awkward encounter that forces them to confront their assumptions about women and desire. Coaching them from the sidelines is the group's sharp little sister Charly (Marysole Fertard), who runs the unusual business with brisk pragmatism. The show spans two seasons of twelve half-hour episodes in total, mixing bawdy sexual comedy with a more tender undercurrent about adult responsibility and male friendship. Its tone is irreverent and breezy, with flashes of sincerity beneath the provocation, set against the sunlit marshes, bulls and rice fields of the Camargue. Fans of Shameless and Eastbound and Down will find a kindred mix of crude humor and wounded loyalty.

• Eastbound & Downshared comedy-drama tone with male friendship and sexual comedy premise
• Shameless (US)shared workplace-adjacent comedy about young men in precarious situations
• Les Revenantsshared French comedy-drama register with ensemble of young men and provincial setting
