Ghost Adventures

Paranormal investigator Zak Bagans and his crew, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin, search for haunted locations both domestically and internationally. During their investigations, Zak and crew acquaint themselves with the general area; interview locals about the hauntings; and go face-to-face with the evil spirits who reportedly haunt these locations.

Ghost Adventures (2008-present) is an American paranormal reality series created for Discovery and Travel Channel. Paranormal investigator Zak Bagans leads his crew, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin, through haunted locations both across the United States and internationally. Their investigations unfold as an unscripted, long-running run of episodes, with the team first acquainting themselves with each site, interviewing locals about reported hauntings, and then descending into dark, abandoned buildings with night-vision cameras, spirit box devices and audio recorders. The engine is simple: the crew wants to capture undeniable evidence of the spirits, and each episode builds toward the moment they go face-to-face with what they believe is there. Across twenty-eight seasons the format remains a case-by-case investigation rather than a continuing story, so episodes stand alone and can be watched in any order. The tone is eerie and intense, with a tense, suspenseful atmosphere in darkened rooms and a documentary-style reenactment flavor. Fans of Ghost Hunters, Paranormal State and Most Haunted will find resonance in its blend of spooky location hunting and raw, handheld investigation.

Viewers broadly rate the early seasons of this paranormal investigation series highly, with later seasons seen as weaker and more formulaic.
