Timmy Time

Timmy is a little lamb which has just turned three (in sheep years) and is going to nursery! In this bright and colourful environment, Timmy and his animal chums learn how to make friends, create new things, paint, draw and generally learn those very important 'life lessons' from their nursery teachers, Harriet Heron and Osbourne Owl.

Timmy Time (2009-2012) is an Australian and British preschool animated series created by Jackie Cockle and Liz Whitaker for CBeebies. Its protagonist is Timmy, a little lamb who has just turned three in sheep years and is starting nursery. Alongside his animal chums, he spends each ten-minute episode learning how to make friends, create new things, paint and draw. Their nursery teachers, Harriet Heron and Osbourne Owl, guide them through the everyday social lessons that small children meet for the first time, such as sharing, taking turns and trying something new. The engine is simple: a small problem arises in the classroom, and the characters work it out together through play. The series runs three seasons of twenty-six episodes each, seventy-eight episodes in all, with a bright, colourful nursery world and a warm, gentle tone. Voice work by Kate Harbour and Justin Fletcher gives the characters their personalities. Fans of Bluey, Peppa Pig and Teletubbies will find the same soft, reassuring rhythm and easy kindness that suits young children and the adults watching with them.
