Spring of Youth

A K-pop star, Sa-gye, reluctantly enters college, forms a 4-member mixed band, and navigates love and growth through music amid the chaos of campus life.

Spring of Youth (2025) is a South Korean romance comedy series created for SBS, a single-season limited series of ten roughly hour-long episodes. Ha Yoo-Joon plays Sa-gye, a K-pop star who reluctantly enters college, and the story follows his attempts to fit into ordinary student life while forming a four-member mixed band. Park Ji-hu plays Kim Bom, and Lee Seung-hyub, Seo Hye-won, and Kim Sun-min round out the principal circle of classmates whose lives tangle with his. The engine of the series is the friction between celebrity and campus: a famous performer who wants anonymity, bandmates who must learn to play together, and the romantic currents that form when rehearsals run late. Each episode mixes lighthearted campus mishaps with the gradual work of making music together. The setting is a contemporary Korean university, and the tone is breezy, warm, and youthful, with music as the main vehicle for emotion. Fans of Begin Again and Reply 1988 will find a similar blend of music, friendship, and tender romance in an everyday setting.
