Single Papa

When Gaurav finds a baby in the back of his car, he must defy his eccentric family, the adoption agency and societal norms to become a single papa.

Single Papa (2025) is a Hindi-language Indian comedy-drama miniseries created by Neeraj Udhwani and Ishita Moitra and released on Netflix. Kunal Kemmu plays Gaurav Gehlot, a bachelor who finds an abandoned baby in the back of his car and resolves to keep him against the wishes of his eccentric relatives. Neha Dhupia appears as Mrs Nehra, Manoj Pahwa as Jatin Gehlot, and Prajakta Koli as Namrata, with Ayesha Raza Mishra as Poonam Gehlot adding to the household chaos. The engine of the story is Gaurav's stubborn determination against a noisy joint family, an adoption agency that doubts a single man's fitness, and the ordinary social norms that call his choice improper. Each of its six roughly forty-one-minute episodes builds from small domestic mishaps into larger questions of responsibility and belonging. The tone blends warm, breezy comedy with a sincere emotional core, placing the story in a contemporary urban Indian household. Viewers who enjoy the sitcom-style warmth of Baby Daddy or the family-meddling humour of Indian family dramas will find a familiar, comforting rhythm here.

• Dharmaputrashared family comedy-drama tone, domestic chaos and single-parent themes
• Tanaavshared light comedy with emotional family drama about unexpected parenthood
