Overview
The misadventures of three recent college dropouts, roommates, and co-workers at a telemarketing company and their drug dealer.
Workaholics (2011-2017) is a American comedy sitcom created by Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm, Kyle Newacheck, Connor Pritchard, and Dominic Russo for Comedy Central. Adam DeMamp (Adam Devine), Blake Henderson (Blake Anderson) and Anders Holmvik (Anders Holm) are three recent college dropouts who share a house and work together at a telemarketing company. Their days in the call center are a grind of cold calls, bad bosses and petty rivalries, while their nights revolve around the group's dealer, whose business keeps pulling them into schemes. Maribeth Monroe plays Alice Murphy, one of the coworkers who keeps the office from falling apart, and Jillian Bell adds sharp energy as Jillian Belk. The series runs seven seasons and is built as a loose, episodic sitcom where each half hour brings a new hustle, prank or mishap rather than a single continuing arc. Its humor is crude, loud and affectionate, with a slacker sensibility that lands somewhere between a raunchy buddy comedy and an absurd workplace satire. Fans of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Eastbound and Down and The Office will find the same mix of cringe comedy, rowdy friendship and aimless ambition here, with a stoner haze hanging over most scenes.
