Brødrene Dal og legenden om Atlant-is

In this series, the brothers must track down the Sámi people's sacred vessel, "Irka," which has gone missing. The vessel is considered a national treasure of the Sámi people and is displayed once a year during the great spring festival. However, it turns out that the vessel has not actually disappeared; instead, it has been copied. The brothers then embark on an intense hunt that takes them to different parts of the world, including Hong Kong. Meanwhile, explosions can be heard across the Finnmark Plateau...

Brødrene Dal og legenden om Atlant-is (1994) is a Norwegian national-television adventure comedy miniseries broadcast on NRK1. Brothers Bumund Dal (Trond Kirkvaag) and Roms Dal (Knut Lystad) are the bumbling heroes at the center of the story, a sibling pair who must recover the sacred vessel Irka, a treasured object of the Sami people that is displayed each spring at a great festival. Their search reveals that the vessel was never truly lost but copied, and the hunt sends them across the globe, including to Hong Kong, with a chain of chases and mishaps. Tom Mathisen narrates the proceedings, while supporting characters such as Sjaman Bjørn Hætta Magi (Bjørn Sundquist) and Mikkel Rev (Ingor Ânnte Âilu Gaup) add cultural texture and comic friction. The twelve-episode run, around 21 minutes each, is one continuing quest that builds episode by episode rather than a set of standalone cases. The tone is playful, warm and brisk, with slapstick energy and a light-hearted approach to heritage and national pride. Its mix of globe-trotting capers and sibling squabbling recalls the spirit of The Adventures of Tintin and Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, appealing to viewers who want a whimsical treasure hunt with a distinctly Norwegian flavor.

• The Adventures of Tintinshared sibling adventure comedy with globe-trotting chases and absurd escalation
• Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arkshared buddy adventure tone with quest for a stolen artifact
• Hot Fuzzshared lighthearted action comedy built on bumbling heroes and chase set pieces
