Super Dad

Super Dad (1993-1997) is a Turkish family comedy-drama series broadcast on atv across four seasons and 137 episodes. Created as a Turkish national-television family show, it follows Fikret Aksu (Şevket Altuğ), a father who struggles to keep close bonds with three of his growing children after his divorce. Principal characters include İpek (Jülide Kural), Nihat (Sümer Tilmaç), and Deniz (Şevval Sam), whose daily lives and shifting loyalties give each episode its emotional texture. The engine of the series is the everyday friction of a split household: custody arrangements, school worries, new partners, and the small wounds that accumulate when a parent can only be present part of the time. Episodes are self-contained domestic stories that accumulate into a longer arc about love, pain and hope. Set in the distinctive Çengelköy district of Istanbul, the series has a warm, neighborly atmosphere, with sincere, wistful moments balanced against lighter household comedy. Its tone resembles the emotional family dramas of Kramer vs. Kramer and the sitcom warmth of Full House, while its focus on a single father's devotion recalls The Wonder Years. Viewers looking for a tender, character-driven family show will find it resonant.

• Kramer vs. Kramerfamily drama centered on a parent navigating divorce and children, warm emotional tone
• Full Housesingle father raising children, family comedy-drama with heartfelt tone
