Bondi Rescue

Follow the day to day life and work of lifeguards on Sydney's Bondi Beach.

Bondi Rescue (2006-present) is an Australian reality docuseries created for Network 10, following the lifeguards who patrol Sydney's famous Bondi Beach. Narrated by Osher Günsberg, the show follows a rotating group of surf lifesavers including Dean Gladstone, Anthony Harries Caroll, Bruce Hopkins, Rod Kerr and Andrew Reid as they go about their daily patrol duties. Its engine is simple and immediate: the crew watches the water, responds to swimmers caught in rips, treats injuries on the sand, and handles the steady stream of tourists and locals who need help. Each episode is built from these everyday incidents, stitched together with confessional-style commentary and bright beachside footage. The series runs across eighteen seasons and more than two hundred episodes, giving it the feel of an ongoing observational portrait rather than a single story. The tone is sunny, warm and lightly adrenaline-charged, with a strong sense of community among the lifesavers and a playful affection for beach culture. Fans of Cops, Emergency! and Survivor will find a similar appeal in its real-world stakes, its workplace camaraderie and its easy, episodic rhythm. Set in present-day Sydney, it suits viewers who want unscripted action with a feel-good, sun-drenched atmosphere.
