Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn

When Banagher Links meets the mysterious Audrey Burne, he inherits the Unicorn Gundam and is swept up into the battle for space colony independence.

Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn (2010-2014) is a Japanese animated mecha series produced by Sunrise and originally released as an original video animation run of seven episodes. Its protagonist Banagher Links (voiced by Koki Uchiyama) meets the mysterious Audrey Burne and inherits the Unicorn Gundam, a powerful machine whose abilities respond to psychic resonance. Drawn into the struggle for space colony independence, Banagher must navigate a conflict between colonial communities and a ruling power that rules through force. Principal voice cast includes Daisuke Namikawa as Riddhe Marcenas and Hiroki Touchi as Daguza Mackle, whose political and military maneuvering shapes each clash. Each episode builds around large-scale mobile suit battles and the tension between personal loyalty and political duty. The series belongs to the long-running Gundam franchise and follows the tradition of the real-robot war epic, with a serious, somber tone and sweeping space battles. Its mood is melancholic and tense, emphasizing the human cost of conflict. Fans of Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and Macross Frontier will find resonance in its blend of mecha spectacle and political drama.

Viewers regard this compact OVA as a strong entry in the Gundam franchise, valued for its mecha action and political drama, though its short run leaves the story feeling compressed.
