Lip Sync Battle

Each episode features two A-list celebrities like you've never seen them before - syncing their hearts out in hysterically epic performances. Hosted by LL Cool J with colorful commentary by social media maven and supermodel co-host, Chrissy Teigen. The mic is off, the battle is on!

Lip Sync Battle (2015-2019) is an American reality comedy competition created by Jimmy Fallon for Spike, later carried by Paramount Network and MTV Global. Each episode pits two A-list celebrities against each other in a head-to-head battle of lip-synced musical performances, where they perform hysterically over-the-top routines with costumes, props, and choreography. LL Cool J hosts the proceedings, while supermodel Chrissy Teigen supplies colorful, mischievous commentary as the performers stay silent and the mic stays off. Guest celebrities such as Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Alison Brie, and Will Arnett appear in individual battles across five seasons and roughly ninety episodes of a brisk, twenty-five-minute format. The engine is simple: each contestant tries to outperform the other through commitment, absurdity, and comedic timing. The tone is playful, light, and irreverent, with a breezy, celebratory energy that rewards the viewer who enjoys seeing famous faces let loose. Fans of Celebrity Name Game, Ridiculousness, and Jimmy Kimmel Live will find a similar appetite for good-natured, host-driven celebrity fun.

Audiences find the celebrity lip sync performances hilarious and entertaining, though the format wears thin over repeated seasons.
