Medical Top Team

The medical drama focuses on the lives of doctors and nurses who are members of an elite medical team from the fictional Gwang Hae University Hospital.

Medical Top Team (2013) is a South Korean medical drama created for MBC, a single-season run of twenty hour-long episodes. Kwon Sang-woo plays Park Tae-shin, a doctor at the center of an elite medical team, alongside Jung Ryeo-won as Seo Joo-young, Ju Ji-hoon as Han Seung-jae, and Oh Yeon-seo as Choi Ah-jin. Set inside the fictional Gwang Hae University Hospital, the series follows its physicians and nurses as they handle demanding surgeries, diagnostic dilemmas, and the constant pull of ambition and rivalry. Each episode braids clinical emergencies with the politics of a hospital tied to a larger corporate power structure, so personal loyalties and romantic tensions are tested as often as the patients are. The atmosphere is earnest and glossy, with a steady rhythm of crises and quiet professional bonds. Fans of Hospital Playlist and Grey's Anatomy will find resonance in its blend of medical urgency, workplace ambition, and romance, delivered in the polished style of a Korean prime-time melodrama.

Audiences rated the single season well, with the drama's hospital power struggles and team dynamics drawing a mixed but generally favorable response.
