Euphoria

A group of high school students navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media.

Euphoria (2019-2026) is an American HBO teen drama series created by Sam Levinson. Zendaya plays Rue Bennett, a teenager recovering from addiction who is newly out of rehab and drawn into a circle of classmates in a suburban high school. Hunter Schafer plays Jules Vaughn, a newcomer who becomes her closest companion, while Sydney Sweeney plays Cassie Howard and Jacob Elordi plays Nate Jacobs, whose volatile home life shapes his choices. Across three seasons of eight episodes each, the engine is the characters' struggle to find love and belonging while drugs, sex, and the pressure of social media keep pulling them under. Each episode moves through parties, relationships, and secrets, building a serialized story where order matters. The mood is raw, feverish and intimate, with dread and tenderness sitting side by side. Its vivid, heightened visual style and emotionally exposed performances draw comparisons to Skins and 13 Reasons Why for viewers who want a candid look at adolescence. The result is a dark, honest portrait of youth that rewards close attention to its characters.

Viewers broadly find Euphoria a raw, emotionally honest teen drama whose performances and intensity earn it a positive reception, though its later season is less well received.
