Walker

Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two with his own moral code, returns home to Austin after being undercover for two years, only to discover there's harder work to be done at home.

Walker (2021-2024) is an American crime action drama series created by Anna Fricke for The CW. Jared Padalecki plays Cordell Walker, a widowed father of two with his own moral code, who returns to Austin, Texas after two years undercover to find harder work waiting at home. Lindsey Morgan co-stars as Micki Ramirez, while Molly Hagan plays Abeline Walker and Keegan Allen plays Liam Walker, with Coby Bell as Captain Larry James and Mitch Pileggi as Bonham Walker rounding out the principal cast. The engine of the series is Walker's attempt to protect his children and his community while confronting criminal networks that threaten them, with each episode built around investigations, confrontations, and the strain of balancing duty against family. The show runs across four seasons and sixty-nine episodes as a continuing serialized story rather than a pure case-of-the-week format. Set in present-day Austin, it blends gritty street action with domestic drama and a sense of personal reckoning. Fans of Walker, Texas Ranger, Justified and Blue Bloods will find resonance in its tough, grounded lawman and its family-centered crime stakes. The tone is earnest, propulsive and emotionally direct, with a rugged, heartfelt atmosphere throughout.

Reception is mixed to negative, with critics appreciating the action and Jared Padalecki's lead performance while finding the tone and story choices uneven.
