BMF

The drug trafficking drama is inspired by the true story of two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country. It revolves around brothers Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory, who together took their vision beyond the drug trade and into the world of hip-hop. The drama, per Starz, will tell a story about love, family and capitalism in the pursuit of the American dream.

BMF is a United States crime drama series created by Randy Huggins for STARZ, running from 2021 to 2025 and cancelled after four seasons and 38 episodes. Inspired by a true story, it follows brothers Demetrius "Big Meech" Flenory (Lil Meech) and Terry "Southwest T" Flenory (Da'Vinchi) as they climb out of the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s. Their engine is ambition: they want to build an unstoppable drug trafficking operation, and each season is built from deals, betrayals, pressure from rival dealers, and an increasingly tangled investigation led by Detective Bryant (Steve Harris). Russell Hornsby plays Charles Flenory, whose presence anchors the family drama, while Michole Briana White brings weight as Lucille Flenory. The show runs as a serialized, continuing story with each season building on the last. Its tone is gritty and propulsive, with moments of tenderness about love and loyalty set against the hard, sometimes brutal logic of the street economy. The brothers' ambitions also reach into the world of hip-hop, giving the story a music-industry edge. Fans of Power and Snowfall will find resonance in its portrait of ambition, family ties, and the cost of building an empire from nothing.

Audience reception is positive overall, with the first season earning the strongest response and later seasons rated markedly lower.
