HIP - High Intellectual Potential

Morgane is 38-years old, has three children, two exes and an IQ of 160; her destiny as a cleaner is turned upside-down when her extraordinary abilities are spotted by the police who offer her a job as a consultant.

HIP - High Intellectual Potential (2021-2025) is a French national-television crime comedy series created by Nicolas Jean, Alice Chegaray-Breugnot and Stéphane Carrié for TF1. Audrey Fleurot plays Morgane Alvaro, a thirty-something cleaner and mother of three with an IQ of 160, whose life is upended when the police recruit her as a consultant. Mehdi Nebbou appears as Adam Karadec, and Bruno Sanches as Gilles Vandraud, both pulling her into the investigations. Across five seasons of eight episodes each, the show runs as a case-of-the-week procedural in which Morgane's sharp deductions crack crimes while her two exes, her children and her messy domestic life keep intruding on the squad room. The engine is her push to be taken seriously in a rigid institution while keeping her family intact. Set in contemporary France, the series blends brisk workplace comedy with light mystery and warm family moments. Its tone is cozy and breezy, with a fish out of water sensibility. Fans of The Mentalist, Monk and Lie to Me will find resonance in its clever outsider sleuth and its easygoing, character driven crime stories.

Audiences rate HIP positively for its light, crowd-pleasing blend of police procedural cases and comedy built around Morgane's genius and personal life.
