Disney Intertwined

Allegra dreams of joining the Eleven O' Clock music hall company, but her mother, Caterina, won't accept that. Allegra's life changes drastically when she finds a mysterious bracelet that takes her to 1994, the year Caterina was her age and was starting her career in Eleven O' Clock while she lived in Coco's shadow. Cocó is Allegra's grandmother. Will Allegra be able to change the past?

Disney Intertwined is an Argentine family time travel series created for Disney+. Allegra dreams of joining the Eleven O' Clock music hall company, but her mother Caterina resists the idea. When Allegra finds a mysterious bracelet that drops her into 1994, she arrives in the year her mother was starting her own career in that same company, living under the shadow of her own mother, Coco. Allegra's engine is simple and concrete: she must navigate rehearsals, backstage rivalries and teenage friendships while trying to change the past without erasing the life she came from. Her companions help drive the comic and romantic subplots. The show mixes light comedy with melodrama about inheritance and ambition, across episodes that stay breezy and sincere. Its tone is warm and nostalgic, with an affectionate eye on 1990s Buenos Aires. Viewers who enjoy the family conflict and playful mechanics of Back to the Future or the Argentine melodrama Tiempo Final will find a familiar pull between generations and time travel.

Reviewers see it as a warm, breezy family time-travel show with a nostalgic 1990s musical theatre setting, with a moderate and divided response.

• Back to the Futuretime travel to a parent's youth, family conflict between generations, light family drama tone
• Tiempo Finalteen drama with time travel and mother daughter tension, Latin American telenovela-style melodrama
