Black Space

A rogue detective with unorthodox means leads an investigation into a massacre committed by unicorn mask-wearing assassins at an Israeli high school.

Black Space (2020-2024) is an Israeli crime drama series created by Anat Gafni and Sahar Shavit for Reshet 13. Guri Alfi plays Rami Davidi, a rogue detective whose unorthodox methods set him against the system as he leads an investigation into a massacre carried out by assassins wearing unicorn masks at a high school. Shai Avivi, Assi Levy and Gily Itskovitch appear among the principal cast, with Reut Alush as Morag Shmuel, and the story pushes each investigator to test the limits of their loyalties. The engine of the show is the hunt itself: every episode peels back another layer of the attack, another suspect, and another compromised institution, while the characters' private histories surface alongside the evidence. Across two seasons of eight episodes each, the series moves as one continuing story rather than a case of the week. Its tone is tense, gritty and morally uneasy, with a bleak undercurrent of grief and paranoia. Set in contemporary Israel, it offers the textured urban realism of a national-television thriller. Fans of Fauda and Bodyguard will find similar pressure, dread and procedural grit here.
