Hit & Run

A happily married man's life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit-and-run accident in Tel Aviv. Grief-stricken and confused, he searches for his wife's killers, who have fled to the U.S. With the help of an ex-lover, he uncovers disturbing truths about his beloved wife and the secrets she kept from him.

Hit & Run (2021) is an Israeli American action thriller series created by Avi Issacharoff, Lior Raz, Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin, released on Netflix as a single nine-episode season of roughly 48 minutes each. Lior Raz plays Segev Azulai, a contented husband whose quiet life collapses when his wife Danielle (Kaelen Ohm) dies in a mysterious hit-and-run in Tel Aviv. Grief gives way to obsession as he tracks the people responsible after they flee to the United States, and he enlists an ex-lover, Tali Shapira (Moran Rosenblatt), whose help becomes both an asset and a complication. Each episode pushes the hunt forward through chases, confrontations and cross-border investigation, while the search steadily exposes disturbing truths about the wife he thought he knew and the secrets she kept from him. The engine is simple and relentless: a grieving man against a hidden network, with every answer revealing a darker question. Its tone is tense, gritty and emotionally raw, leaning on the propulsive momentum of Israeli action drama and the moral unease of revenge. Fans of Fauda and The Fugitive will find resonance in its blend of physical peril and personal betrayal. The series was canceled after its first season, leaving its central mystery open.

Audiences rated the single season as mixed, with praise for its propulsive revenge plot and lead performance and some faults in its plausibility.

• Faudashared grief-fueled revenge thriller tones and a protagonist uncovering hidden secrets of a spouse
• Takenshared action thriller premise of an ordinary man pursuing killers across borders
• The Fugitiveshared propulsive pacing and a hunted-protagonist conspiracy structure
