Life With an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated Into a Total Fantasy Knockout

Childhood friends Tachibana Hinata and Jinguji Tsukasa were living the everyday life of office workers. Then, on the way home from a mixer, they were sent flying into another world by a mysterious being. Once there, Jinguji sees his best friend has been turned into a beautiful blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl...?! The adorableness of Tachibana’s female form completely flummoxes Tachibana. But these two are each others’ best friends. To keep their relationship from being destroyed, they must defeat the Demon Lord as quickly as possible and return to their original forms.

Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout (2022) is a Japanese animated isekai comedy series created for TV Tokyo, produced by OLM and Cygames. Childhood friends Tachibana Hinata and Jinguji Tsukasa, who work as ordinary office employees, are whisked from a night out into another world by a mysterious being. Hinata has been transformed into a beautiful blonde, blue-eyed girl, and Tsukasa is thrown into flustered confusion by her new appearance even as the two remain close friends. Voiced by Mao Ichimichi as the female Hinata, Satoshi Hino as Tsukasa, and Kent Ito as the male Hinata, the pair must defeat the Demon Lord quickly so they can return to their original forms without wrecking their friendship. Each short episode plays out as a self-contained parody of fantasy adventure, with quest set pieces, awkward romantic-platonic tension, and gentle absurdity. Across a single twelve-episode season, the series takes a light, breezy and affectionate tone, poking fun at isekai conventions while keeping the emotional core of an old friendship at its center. Fans of Konosuba, The Rising of the Shield Hero and Tonikaku Kawaii will find a similar mix of genre parody, body-swap comedy and fantasy questing.

• Konosubashared isekai premise, gender-swap comedy, parody of genre tropes
• The Rising of the Shield Heroshared isekai adventure with comedic party dynamics and parody tone
• Tonikaku Kawaiishared body-swap comedy with awkward romantic-platonic tension
