Elite Short Stories: Phillipe Caye Felipe

Away from school, during the winter holidays, three new stories take place while the Las Encinas students celebrate Christmas.

Elite Short Stories: Phillipe Caye Felipe (2021) is a Spanish teen mystery comedy miniseries created for Netflix. Set during winter holidays, it steps away from the elite Las Encinas school and follows its privileged students through three self-contained stories built around Christmas. Felipe (Àlex Monner) anchors the first and main thread, a student orbiting the wealthy circle that includes Cayetana Grajera (Georgina Amorós), Phillipe von Triesenberg (Pol Granch) and Lara (Celia Sastre). Each short episode, running around fifteen minutes, centers on a small mystery or social knot, with bodyguards, rivalries and secrets adding a light dose of intrigue. The engine is simple: characters want to keep up appearances, to be seen and to protect their standing, while holiday gatherings expose the cracks. The tone stays playful and glossy, with comic moments undercutting the sharper teen drama. Shape and scale are modest, a single three-episode miniseries rather than a long running saga. Fans of Elite, Gossip Girl and the occasional Black Mirror-style standalone format will find a similar mix of privileged teen intrigue and quick self-contained stories. The whole thing is designed for a brisk, easy binge on a rainy winter evening.

Audience reception is mixed, with a middling score across a small number of votes.
