El Internado Laguna Negra (2007-2010) is a Spanish television drama-thriller series created by Daniel Écija, Laura Belloso, Rocío Martínez and Juan Carlos Cueto for Antena 3. Set at a remote boarding school deep in a forest far from the city, the show follows teenagers sent there by their parents to study, and the adults who oversee them. Principal characters include María Almagro (Marta Torné), Héctor de la Vega (Luis Merlo), Marcos Novoa (Martiño Rivas), and Carolina Leal (Ana de Armas), whose lives become tangled with the macabre events that unfold on the school's grounds. The engine of the series is a steady drip of strange happenings that push students and teachers to suspect one another while they navigate rivalry, first love and family pressure. Each season builds a continuing mystery across its episodes rather than standing alone, giving the show a serialized shape across seven seasons and seventy-one episodes. The atmosphere is eerie and claustrophobic, with the isolated woodland campus amplifying a sense of dread and unease. Its tone mixes teen melodrama with genre suspense, and fans of Pretty Little Liars and Skins will find resonance in its secretive youth ensemble and its blend of adolescent drama and creeping mystery. Its Spanish origins and Antena 3 network give it a distinctive national-television flavor within the teen thriller tradition.

Audiences rate the Spanish mystery drama positively, valuing its atmospheric forest setting and its blend of teen drama with supernatural intrigue.
