Harlem

Four stylish and ambitious best girlfriends in Harlem, New York City: a rising star professor struggling to make space for her love life; a savvy tech entrepreneur always dating someone new; a no-filter singer; and a hopeless romantic fashion designer. Together, they level up into the next phase of their careers, relationships, and big city dreams.

Harlem (2021-2025) is a United States streaming comedy-drama created by Tracy Oliver for Prime Video. Set in contemporary Harlem, New York City, it follows four stylish best girlfriends as they navigate careers, love lives and big city ambitions. Camille Parks (Meagan Good) is a rising star professor struggling to make room for romance, while Tye Reynolds (Jerrie Johnson) runs a tech business and keeps dating someone new. Quinn Joseph (Grace Byers) is an outspoken singer who speaks her mind, and Angie Wilson (Shoniqua Shandai) is a hopeless romantic fashion designer. Tyler Lepley plays Ian Walker and Sullivan Jones plays Jameson Royce among the men orbiting the group. The engine of the show is the friends pushing one another into the next phase of their lives, with each season built from dating mishaps, career setbacks and nights out in the neighborhood. Its episodes are light, witty and glossy, with a warm, candid tone and a strong sense of Black female friendship at its center. Across three seasons and twenty-four episodes it stays a continuing story rather than a case-of-the-week format. Fans of Sex and the City, Girlfriends and Insecure will find resonance in its polished urban romance and close female bonds.

Audience reception is positive overall, with viewers praising the stylish leads and friendship dynamics, though later seasons drew weaker ratings.
