Ultraman Nexus

The TLT is a covert international anti-monster unit established secretly to combat Space Beasts, mysterious monsters that are out to attack humans in the year 2009. One of the TLT's new recruits, Kazuki Komon, is attacked by one of them prior to reporting for duty. However, he is saved by a silver giant that he names "Ultraman". What no one knows is that the silver giant is an Ultraman — to be precise, Ultraman Nexus, ready to fight the Space Beasts to save the planet Earth.

Ultraman Nexus (2004-2005) is a Japanese tokusatsu superhero series created for CBC and produced by Tsuburaya Productions. Recruit Kazuki Komon (Takuji Kawakubo) is attacked by a Space Beast just before reporting for duty with the TLT, a covert international anti-monster unit. He is rescued by a silver giant he names Ultraman, and he must keep that secret while working alongside colleagues including Jun Himeya (Yusuke Kirishima), Ren Senjyu (Masato Uchiyama) and Nagi Saijyo (Yasue Sato). The engine of the show is the hidden war against monsters that attack humanity, with each episode built around a fresh creature, an investigation into its origin, and a giant battle fought in city streets. The single season of 37 episodes runs as a serialized story with ongoing arcs rather than standalone adventures. Set in a near-future Japan threatened by extraterrestrial invasion, it blends sci-fi spectacle with a sober, tense atmosphere and a sense of isolated responsibility. Fans of Ultraman, Ultraman Tiga and classic kaiju films will find the same blend of giant monster combat and secret defense drama here.
