The Blood of Youth

A young martial artist's quest to prove himself takes an unexpected turn when he and his companions stumble into a mystery surrounding a golden coffin.

The Blood of Youth (2022-2023) is a Chinese wuxia adventure series produced for Youku and built from a web novel. Its young protagonist Xiao Se, played by Li Hongyi, sets out to prove himself on the martial arts road alongside companions Wuxin (Liu Xueyi) and Sikong Qianluo (Lin Boyang), and the group's quest takes an unexpected turn when they stumble into a mystery surrounding a golden coffin. The engine is simple and propulsive: rivals, sects and hidden threats stand in the way while the friends test their skills and their loyalty to one another. The season is a single 40-episode run of 45-minute installments, a self-contained serialized story where each arc deepens the central puzzle. Set in an ancient Chinese martial world, the series carries a hopeful, earnest tone with bursts of action and a warm bromance-like bond at its heart. Its emotional pull comes from friendship and the thrill of unknown danger. Fans of The Untamed and Word of Honor will find resonance in its wuxia spirit, youthful ensemble energy and jianghu adventure.
