Head over Heels

A teenage shaman determined to change fate sets out to save a mysterious boy destined to die. As danger looms, their fated encounter sparks a powerful first love that defies darkness and reclaims hope.

Head Over Heels (2025) is a South Korean fantasy romance series created by Kim Yong-wan for tvN, adapted from a webcomic. A teenage shaman named Park Seong-a (Cho Yi-hyun) sets out to change fate and save a mysterious boy, Bae Gyeon-u (Choo Young-woo), who is destined to die. Their fated meeting sparks a first love that the story frames as a force against darkness, and the central pull is her determination to reshape a predetermined ending. Cha Kang-yoon, Choo Ja-hyun, and Kim Mi-kyung round out a cast that moves between the everyday world and a spiritual underworld of talismans, spirits, and shamanic rites. The series runs twelve episodes as a single continuous arc, with each episode advancing the bond between the leads while the threat of fate looms over every choice. Its register is earnest and romantic, with flickers of dread and a hopeful, cheek-to-cheek warmth. Korean shamanic mythology gives the supernatural elements a grounded cultural texture. Fans of Goblin and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God will find resonance in its blend of destined romance, spirit-world danger, and young love. The story wraps in a single season.

Audiences rate the series positively, praising its romance and fantasy blend while it remains a modest, well-liked fantasy romance.
