Untitled Rachel Sennott Comedy Series

A codependent friend group navigates life and love in Los Angeles. With aspirations of becoming a talent manager, Maia is stalled out as an assistant while living with her boyfriend...until her longtime best friend and frenzied influencer Tallulah returns.

I Love LA (2025-present) is an American HBO comedy series created by Rachel Sennott. Rachel Sennott plays Maia Simsbury, an aspiring talent manager stuck as an assistant while living with her boyfriend in Los Angeles, and Odessa A'zion plays her longtime best friend Tallulah Stiel, a frenzied influencer whose return upends Maia's stalled life. Alongside them, True Whitaker as Alani Marcus, Jordan Firstman as Charlie Cohen, and Josh Hutcherson as Dylan fill out a codependent friend group whose romantic entanglements and career hustles keep spiraling. The engine is simple and relentless: Maia wants a real break in the entertainment industry while her circle keeps pulling her into bad decisions, social media stunts, and awkward dates across the city. Each eight-episode season of this single-season run plays as a tight, escalating comedy of errors rather than a case-of-the-week format. The tone is sardonic and cringe-prone, with sharp satire of influencer culture and the bruising hustle of Hollywood assistant life. Fans of Broad City, Insecure and Girls will find resonance in its messy, candid portrait of young women trying to make it in Los Angeles.

Mixed audience reception, with viewers finding the codependent friend group's antics sharp in places but the characters grating and the premise thin.
