Touring After the Apocalypse

Two young girls, Yoko and Airi, travel through the empty world of post-apocalyptic Japan. They photograph the scenery of famous places and camp out in towns overtaken by nature. Together, they ride on a Serow off-road motorbike and experience a new sense of freedom, unbothered by neither traffic nor traffic lights. The world is over now, so let’s hop on a bike and go on a journey!

Touring After the Apocalypse (2025) is a Japanese seinen anime series from Nexus, adapted from a manga, following two teenage girls, Yoko (voiced by Konomi Inagaki) and Airi (voiced by Miyu Tomita), as they ride a Serow off-road motorbike through an emptied post-apocalyptic Japan. The engine of the show is simple: the pair want to photograph famous landmarks and camp in towns reclaimed by nature, while cracked roads, abandoned cities and scarce supplies keep testing them. Each episode is a small journey built from campsite meals, roadside encounters and quiet stops at forgotten places, with Chitose (voiced by Haruka Tomatsu) appearing as a recurring figure along the way. The series runs as one twelve-episode season, its episodes flowing together as a single gentle road story. Its tone is wistful and contemplative, balancing loneliness and survival against a stubborn, playful sense of freedom and friendship. Fans of Girls' Last Tour, Laid-Back Camp and Made in Abyss will find resonance in its melancholic beauty and hopeful companionship.

• Girls' Last Tourshared post-apocalyptic setting, melancholic tone and two young travelers exploring a ruined world
