Kill to Love

A Southern prince and a Northern assassin, bound since childhood, struggle with love and betrayal as political intrigue threatens to tear them apart.

Kill to Love (2025) is a Chinese and Singaporean historical romance miniseries created by Yi Han He for GagaOOLala. Zhang Zhexu plays Duan Zi'ang, a southern prince whose lifelong bond with Mi Jin's Xiao Shuhe, a northern assassin, is tested as political intrigue threatens to tear them apart. Cheng Fang, Wang Ding, and Li Yixiang round out the principal cast as courtiers, rivals, and allies whose loyalties shift with every scheme. Across a single twelve-episode run, the engine is simple and emotionally direct: two people raised to be on opposite sides of a dangerous world must decide what they will sacrifice for each other. Each episode mixes martial arts duels, secret alliances, and court maneuvering with flashbacks to the childhood that bound them. The story moves as one continuing arc rather than standalone cases, so every betrayal lands on the last. Set in a fictional historical China of rival kingdoms and clan power, it has the lush costume staging of a period drama and the restless menace of a spy thriller. Its tone is melancholic and romantic, with aching restraint and sudden violence. Fans of The Untamed, Nirvana in Fire and Story of Yanxi Palace will find resonance in its blend of devotion, scheming, and wuxia-tinged action.

• The Untamedshared period romance with political intrigue and star-crossed bonds
• Story of Yanxi Palaceshared forbidden love within a martial, court-driven historical world
• Nirvana in Fireshared assassin and betrayal tension in a political historical setting
