The Amazing World of Gumball (2011-2019) is an American animated comedy series created by Ben Bocquelet for Cartoon Network. It follows Gumball Watterson, a twelve-year-old blue cat attending middle school in the town of Elmore, alongside his adoptive brother and best friend Darwin Watterson. Voiced by Logan Grove, Nicolas Cantu, Jacob Hopkins and others, Gumball is the restless engine of each episode, hatching schemes and stumbling into escalating trouble that spills across school, the neighborhood and the city. His parents and sister, Richard, Nicole and Anais Watterson, voiced by Dan Russell, Teresa Gallagher and Kyla Kowalewski, add domestic friction and affection to the chaos. The show runs six seasons of short, self-contained twelve-minute episodes that still build a shared sense of place and recurring characters. Its tone is breezy, zany and sincere, with sharp visual experiments that mix hand-drawn animation with photographed textures and collage. Fans of Adventure Time, The Fairly OddParents and Regular Show will find the same blend of absurdist humor and warm family heart.

Audience reception calls the series acclaimed, praising its surreal absurdist humor and inventive animation while noting that quality dips in later seasons.
