The Osbournes

The Osbournes is an American reality television program featuring the domestic life of heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne and his family. The series premiered on MTV on March 5, 2002, and in its first season, was cited as the most-viewed series ever on MTV. The final episode of the series aired March 21, 2005.

The Osbournes (2002-2005) is an American unscripted reality comedy created for MTV. It follows heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne at home with his wife Sharon Osbourne and their children Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne, all playing themselves. Their daily life in a Los Angeles-area house becomes the engine of the show: small domestic disputes, misplaced errands, pets, staff, and the constant friction of a famously chaotic household, captured by cameras that observe everyday routines rather than scripted plots. Guest appearances from celebrities such as Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Britney Spears, and Anna Nicole Smith add brief episodic detours. Across four seasons of short episodes, the series moves between rowdy comedy and warm, sometimes uneasy glimpses of family closeness. Its tone is irreverent, breezy, and affectionate, with Ozzy's dazed mumbling and Sharon's sharp reactions producing much of the humor. Fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Simple Life, and Married... with Children will find similar pleasure in celebrity domestic chaos and the comedy of a family that refuses to be tidy.

Audiences found the chaotic, candid domestic humor of the Osbourne household entertaining, though enthusiasm cooled over later seasons.
