The Big Show Show

Former WWE wrestler the Big Show is out of the ring and ready for an even tougher challenge: raising three daughters with his wife in Florida.

The Big Show (2020) is an American family sitcom created by Josh Bycel and Jason Berger for Netflix. Paul Wight plays the Big Show, a former WWE wrestler who is out of the ring and now raising three daughters with his wife in Florida. Allison Munn plays his wife Cassy, while Reylynn Caster plays daughter Lola and Lily Brooks O'Briant plays daughter Mandy, giving the household its lively core. The engine of the show is simple and warm: a towering, soft-hearted dad tries to handle everyday challenges that feel bigger than any championship bout, from school pressures and teenage friendships to neighborhood mishaps and the awkward moments of parenting girls. Each episode is a self-contained half hour of gentle domestic comedy, built on the contrast between his enormous physical presence and his sincere, bumbling devotion to his family. The single season runs eight episodes, and the show was canceled after that run. The tone is cozy, breezy and sincere, with a wholesome family-friendly warmth. Fans of Everybody Loves Raymond and Eight Simple Rules will find resonance in its celebrity-dad comedy, its household chaos and its affectionate portrait of a family learning to work together.

Audiences found the family sitcom warm and lightly funny, though its rating sits in the mixed range.
