Elena Micheals thought she left the world of supernatural behind when she left Stonehaven behind 'for good this time' she thought. Until the night she got the mysterious call from her pack leader asking her to come back. So now she is heading back, leaving her life as a normal photographer in Toronto for the moment to re-enter the world of werewolves, rules about protect the pack and a man she has spent years trying to get out of her system. Oh and did she mention she was the only living female werewolf in existence?

Bitten (2014-2016) is a Canadian supernatural drama series created by Daegan Fryklind for Space and Syfy, adapted from the novel series by Kelley Armstrong. Laura Vandervoort plays photographer Elena Michaels, who leaves her ordinary life in Toronto and returns to Stonehaven, the werewolf pack she once escaped. As the only living female werewolf, she must navigate pack rules about protecting the pack while struggling with her feelings for Clayton Danvers (Greyston Holt), a powerful pack member, and the tensions around her with pack leader Jeremy Danvers (Greg Bryk). Each episode weaves a serialized story of territorial politics, loyalty, and danger, with the threat of rival packs and hidden enemies pushing the story forward. Running for three seasons and thirty-three episodes, the series combines romance, action, and brooding atmosphere in a modern urban setting that mixes cityscapes with rural wilderness. Its tone is moody, intimate and sometimes harrowing, with a grounded emotional focus on identity and belonging. Fans of Lost Girl, Teen Wolf and Buffy the Vampire Slayer will find resonance in its blend of supernatural mythology, fierce heroines, and romantic tension, making it a fitting pick for viewers seeking a werewolf drama with strong character bonds.

Audiences find Bitten a mixed but watchable supernatural drama, with a solid lead and engaging werewolf mythology that loses some momentum in its final season.

• Buffy the Vampire Slayershared urban fantasy tone, supernatural creatures hidden in everyday life, and a strong heroine
