Love Me If You Dare (2015-2016) is a Chinese crime drama series created for Dragon Television and streamed on Sohu Video. Its protagonist is Simon (Wallace Huo), a brilliant criminal psychologist who is also a professor and works as an advisor to the police on the most violent and difficult cases. He is paired with his young assistant Jenny (Ma Sichun), the daughter of a veteran police investigator with a strong sense of justice. Other principal characters include Xie Han (Zhang Luyi), Li Xunran (Wang Kai) and Barnes (Matt William Knowles). The series' engine is the act of getting inside the minds of murderers: Simon reads intentions and psychology to point investigators toward the people behind brutal crimes, while the case of the week gives each episode its shape. The story is told across a single season of twenty-four episodes, a complete story rather than a sprawling saga. Set in contemporary Shanghai, it moves through the city's police world with a mood that is moody and tense, its suspense balanced by a slow, tender romance in which two guarded people gradually open up. Fans of Mindhunter, Sherlock and other crime procedurals with a romantic thread will find resonance in its blend of psychological puzzle and emotional drift.

Critical consensus is unknown, with only a modest audience rating from a small number of votes.
