Chivalry of a Failed Knight

Magic Knights are modern magic-users who fight with weapons converted from their souls. Ikki Kurogane goes to a school for these Magic Knights, but he is the "Failed Knight" or "Worst One" who is failing because he has no magical skills. However, one day, he is challenged to a duel by Stella, a foreign princess and the "Number One" student. In this duel, "the loser must be obedient for life."

Chivalry of a Failed Knight (2015) is a Japanese anime series produced by Silver Link and aired on AT-X, a light novel adaptation with a single twelve-episode season. Ikki Kurogane, nicknamed the Worst One, is a student at a academy for Magic Knights, modern warriors who summon weapons forged from their own souls, yet he has no magical power at all. His world turns when Stella Vermillion, a foreign princess ranked Number One, challenges him to a duel whose loser must obey the winner for life. Ikki's push to prove himself against classmates with far greater talent drives each episode, shaped by duels, rankings, and the close bonds that form around his sister Sizuku and a crowd of rivals. Ryota Osaka voices Ikki, with Shizuka Ishigami as Stella and Nao Toyama as Sizuku. The tone is brisk and playful, mixing fanservice-heavy romantic comedy with energetic swordplay and magic battles. Fans of Infinite Stratos, The Asterisk War and Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry will find the same blend of magic academy action and romance. Its ecchi humor and mature content make it best suited to adult viewers.
